We can all learn how to have successful relationships, and happy families. You won't find a course called "Smart Marriages®" – but ALL the courses listed below will help you become wiser and better informed about your marriage or relationship. What is it like to attend a class? Watch this 2 min video - couples that attended a program. It speaks to the overall experience - all the courses teach these skills in one format or another.
The skills and programs listed work for ANY couple at ANY stage – dating, engaged, newlywed, cohabiting, remarried, or on the brink of divorce. (You can take a class and dramatically improve your odds of success. And, it turns out an old dog can learn new tricks – you can fall back in love even when your love is on the rocks.)
• A few courses are specialized: for premarital preparation, stepfamilies, empty nesters, new parents, sexual issues, Spanish speaking, African Americans, Christians, singles, etc. See the special interest categories below.
• If you don't find a class near you, click on Headquarters offices - they list classes across the country. Or, click Community Marriage initiatives. Or, try a "learn at a distance" program.
• There are a variety of programs in both faith-based and secular (non-religious) formats.
• If you'd like to become a marriage or family instructor/educator search the Training Programs section or the Teach Out of the Box or Free Online sections. For requirements and info.
• If you can't get to a class, try the Learn-at-a-Distance options - DVDs, phone-coaching, etc. for learning the skills as a couple OR for learning how to become an instructor and teach the classes in your community or congregation.
