Find a roommate - cut costs! It also seems like
those with roommates have more fun - the buddy-system!
Many find more than one roommate - cheaper by the roomful.
How to find a roommate.
It is TOO LATE for us to match up roommates prior to the conference, so do NOT send me your information
Instead, when you arrive at the Conference Hotel , put up a notice on the message
board near the Smart Marriages Registration Desk. There is a section for those
looking for roommates and people have an almost 100% success rate at matching up.
Make a reservation at the Shingle Creek, just in case, and so you are sure to have a room
on the night of your arrival. If you are told the hotel is old out on Sun July 11th, ask them
to put you on a wait list. Then also look for a roommate that has a room for Sun night on the
message board.
Make a reservation at the Shingle Creek 866-996-6338 before
you find a roommate to be sure that you have a room! Reserve a double/double -
a room with two queen beds instead of a king-sized bed.

This information will be distributed via email to those of your gender who are
looking for roommates. You will also receive the list of those looking for
a roommate.
It is up to you to contact each other and work out the details.
After you find a roommate, be sure to:
1) Contact the hotel and cancel any reservation you won't be using.
If you don't cancel the hotel reservation, you will be charged for the first night!
2) Add the roommate's name to the room you will be sharing. Tell the hotel that you want
the hotel to split the bill. Remind them at check-in and check-out and just give them two
credit cards. It's best not to sign anything to the room during your stay to make this easier.
3 ) Email me so I can take your name off the 'looking-for-a-roommate' list.
