Basic Training for Couples and Singles: Basic Training for Men and Basic
Training for Women programs are based on our many
combined years of experience working with the Black community
- interviewing, conversing with, training and interacting with in places
of faith, community organizations, couples and individuals - learning
from Black people and the people they love.

What you will be able to do:
You will be trained to present both the couples and singles
Basic Training programs - to lead Basic Training courses and
seminars in your community in a variety of settings. We will cover
underlying principles and psychosocial reasoning upon which
each curriculum is based. You will know how to help singles
prepare for strong healthy marriages and how to help couples
thrive in whatever situation they find themselves. The programs
teach both individuals and couples the important skills of communicating
effectively and managing conflict while developing and maintaining intimacy.

You will also learn how to market and attract clients to the program,
how to conduct an orientation class to inform clients of the program,
and how to conduct a graduation ceremony for clients based upon their
completion of the program.

What you will receive:
You will receive a training manual for each curriculum, a couples
workbook, a single’s workbook, and DVDs. You will also receive
an Instructors Certification from Black Marriage Publications.
